The Sensors page enables you to view, search, add, edit, and delete sensors.
A Sensor is a device which senses an activity and sends an output based on the specific activity.
You must configure a sensor for an action with an alarm output. When the specified action is performed, an alarm is generated.
The Sensors page lists the sensors, along with the Device Type, Response Type, Loop Number, and so on.
To view or search a sensor:
In the
AlarmNet 360 home page,
type the City-CS-Sub
or the MAC ID
of the device and then click Search.
The account number, along with the device details, appears.
Under
Actions, select
Edit and then click
the
icon. The Account Overview
page appears.
In the left pane, click Sensors.
Type the Serial Number in the search bar and then press Enter. The relevant sensor, with all the details, is listed.
The filter option enables you to perform an advance level of searching the sensors from the list.
To filter sensors:
In the
Sensors page, click
the icon. The Filter
Sensors pane appears.
You can select either or all of the following:
Configured Sensors: To list the configured sensors which has all peripheral information such as, serial number, device type, and so on.
Non Configured Sensors: To list the sensors which does not have any configured serial number.
Temperature Zones: To list all the sensors present in Temperature zones.
Panic Zones: To list all the zone records present in the three default zones such as, the police, medical, and fire.
Notes: In the Filter Sensors pane, you can also:

The Applied Filter(s) option, appearing below the search
bar, displays all the applicable filters. You can click the
icon to cancel the applied filter.
The Add Sensor option enables you to add a new sensor.
To add a new sensor, perform the following steps:
In the Sensors page, click Add Sensor. The Add New Sensor dialog box appears.
Enter the following details.

Serial Number |
Type the serial number for the sensor. Note: The serial number is a seven digit number. |
Zone Number |
Type the zone number of the zone. |
Loop Number |
From the list, select a loop number to which the sensor is connected. |
Device Type |
From the list, select the device type. |
Response Type |
From the list, select the response type of the device. Note: This is enabled based on the selected Device Type. |
Supervision |
From the list, select the following supervision type.

Zone Description 1 |
From the list of configured or custom words, select the description of the Zone. Notes:

Zone Description 2 |
From the list of configured or custom words, select to add more description of the Zone. Notes:

Chime |
From the list, select the Chime option. Note: This is enabled based on the selected Device Type. |
Alarm Report |
Select to send an alarm report to the supervisor. |
Note: The Response Type and Chime is based on the selected Device Type. For more information on Response Type and the availability of Chime option click here. |
Click Add Loop to configure sensors with multiple response types. Enter the details of the relevant fields.
Click Save. A confirmation message appears.
Click OK.

With the relevant access permission, you can edit the existing sensors.
To edit a sensor:
From the sensors list, click
the icon
against the relevant sensor. The Edit
Sensor dialog box appears.
You can edit the relevant fields and then click Save.
Note: The Zone Number field is disabled. |
With the relevant access permission, you can delete the existing sensors.
To delete a sensor, perform the following steps:
From the sensors list, click
the icon against the relevant sensor.
A warning message appears.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
You can pair two different sensors with specific response type values, across different zones. For example, some of the response type includes, Day/Night, Perimeter, and Interior Follower.
The Cross Zones page displays the list of paired sensors.
To add a cross zone:
Click the Cross Zones tab and then click Add Cross Zone. The Add Cross Zone dialog box appears.
From the Sensor list, select a sensor for Sensor 1 and Sensor 2.
From the Delay list, select the delay value. The delay value delays the response type of the paired sensors.
Click Save.
Note: You can add only one cross zone. |
