Sensors

The Sensors screen enables you to view, search, add, edit, and delete sensors.

A Sensor is a device which senses an activity and sends an output based on the specific activity.

You must configure a sensor for an action with an alarm output. When the specified action is performed, an alarm is generated.

Viewing or Searching a Sensor

To view or search a sensor:

  1. Login > search by entering the City-CS-Sub code or MAC ID. Under Configuration, in the Account Overview screen, tap Sensors.

  2. Enter the Serial Name and tap .

The created partitions and their associated sensors along with Zone #, Service, MAC Address, Response Type, SiX™ Status and Supervision details are displayed.

Filtering Sensors

To filter sensors:

  1. Login > search by entering the City-CS-Sub code or MAC ID. Under Configuration, in the Account Overview screen, tap Sensors.

  2. Tap either or all of the following to filter:

Adding a New Sensor

To add a new sensor:

  1. Login > search by entering the City-CS-Sub code or MAC ID. Under Configuration, in the Account Overview screen, tap Sensors.

  2. Tap . In the Add Sensor screen:

Note: The Learn Sensor option lets you enroll the sensor with the system.

Note:

  1. Tap  Configure Loop to configure sensors with multiple response types.

  2. Tap Save to save.

Note: The Save and Add Another option in the Add New Sensor dialog box, enables you to save the newly created sensor and then add another sensor.

Editing a Sensor

To edit a sensor:

  1. Login > search by entering the City-CS-Sub code or MAC ID. Under Configuration, in the Account Overview screen, tap Sensors.

  2. Tap the sensor to edit.

  3. In the Sensors screen, tap on sensor name to edit.

  4. Edit the sensor details in the Edit Sensor screen and click Save.

Note:

The Zone Number field is disabled.

Deleting a Sensor

To delete a sensor:

  1. Login > search by entering the City-CS-Sub code or MAC ID. Under Configuration, in the Account Overview screen, tap Sensors.

  2. Tap the sensor to delete.

  3. In the Sensors screen, tap on sensor name to delete.

  4. In the Edit Sensor screen, tap Delete.

  5. Click Delete in the confirmation screen.
