Creating a New Account

The New Account page enables you to create a new customer account.

To create a new account:

  1. In the AlarmNet 360 home page, click + New Account and select the panel. For example, L5200. The New Account page appears.

  2. Under Installation for, if you have logged on as a:

  1. Under Customer Info, if you select New Customer, you can optionally enter the following details:

Field

Description

Customer Type

You must select the customer type from the following:

  • Residential: Select for residential installation.

  • Commercial: Select for commercial installation such as office, factory, and so on.

Customer Name

Type the customer name in the firstname, lastname format.

Phone

From the list, select the type of phone number. Also, select the city code and then type the phone number.

Note:

Click the icon to include a maximum of three phone numbers.

Customer Email

Type the valid e-mail ID of the customer. The maximum character limit is 50.

If the same e-mail address is used in Total Connect section, then the master user will receive welcome e-mails which contains the Total Connect URL, user name, and password link.

Enter the email in the specified format.
The email ID should not exceed fifty characters. The special characters currently allowed are, @ . ! # $ % ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` { | } ~

Note:

The Master User profile is intended to be retained and managed by your customer; the Master User profile is not intended for your use.

  1. Under Customer Info, if you select Existing Customer, Search Existing Customer window appears.

Note:

The fields are auto-populated based on the availability of the customer details.

Also, you can use the Existing Customer option if you are creating a Multi-Site account.

  1. Under Security Account, you can optionally enter the following details:

Field

Description

Location

Location Name

Type a name for the location. For example, home, vacation home, and so on. The maximum character limit is 50.

Dealer's Reference ID

Enter the internal account number specified for the customer. The maximum character limit is 25.

For example, if you are using applications such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Accounting, and so on, you can enter the ID you previously created for the same customer in other applications.

Sold By

Type the name of the sales person.

Installed By

Type the name of the installer.

Contract End Date

Click the  icon to set the contract end date by selecting the month, year, and date in the calendar.

Address

Country

From the list, select the country of the customer.

Address Line 1

Type the address of the customer.

Address Line 2

Type the address of the customer.

City

Type the city of the customer.

State/Territory

From the list, select the state of the customer.

Zip

Type the zip code of the customer location.

Note:

This is not a mandatory field.  If you have selected Total Connect  account during Account Creation, ensure to add the zip code.

Notes

Type any extra information related to the customer.

Control Panel

Type

From the list, select the type of panel.

The panels are categorized, grouped,and then listed.

 

For example, if you select the Panel Type as Lyric Gateway, then:

  • You must type the 12-digits of the MAC in the MAC ID field.

  • In the CRC field, type the four digit CRC.

Notes:

  • Click Add Communicator to include an additional communicator.

  • Then, you must type the 12 digit AID and four digit CRC.

 

For example, if you select the Panel Type as Lynx, then:

From the list if you select Cellular/Ethernet, you must provide the:

  • CellSular/Ethernet MAC

  • Cellular/Ethernet CRC

From the list if you select WiFi, you must provide the:

  • WiFi MAC

  • WiFi CRC

Notes:

  • You must type the 12-digits of the MAC in the MAC ID field.

  • Click Add Communicator to include an additional communicator.

Revision

From the list, select the panel revision type. Ensure that the correct panel software revision is selected. Based on the selected panel revision, you can select the features in AlarmNet 360. The revision number in available on the panel carton and also on the panel.

Would you like to enter the MAC ID now?

You can click:

  • Yes: If you know the MAC ID.

  • No: If you do not know the MAC ID.

Notes:

If you select No, the following fields are enabled:

  • Default and Custom Templates: From the drop-down list, select from the list of available templates.

  • Alarmnet Services: You can select to enable Two-Way Voice or Video Alarm Verification.

Then, click SAVE at the top right corner of the screen.

The account details are saved as draft under DEVICES>Programming>Drafts in the AlarmNet 360 page.

Later, you can convert the draft to an account.

Alarm Reporting Number

Type the City-CS-Sub ID of the account. The ID is the AlarmNet account number you received from the Central Station. It is a two digit City ID, a two digit Central Station ID, and a four digit subscriber number.

 

  1. Click Continue. The security account is verified based on the following:

Note:

The edit option is enabled after you verify the security account.

Now, you can click Edit Panel Details to modify the panel details and customer information.

Once the verification is successful, the image of the selected communicator type appears.

  1. Under Packages section, select the required package from the drop-down menu.

Note:

You can change the package even after creating the account from the Account Overview page.

 

  1. Enable the required add-on features from the Add-Ons section.

Two Way Voice

Select to Enable two-way communication between the control panel and the Central Station, following an alarm condition.

  • Provides audio alarm verification and remote listen-in capability.

  • Allows central station to communicate with the premises through AlarmNet 360.

  • Requires a Cellular device that supports 2-way voice, and an AlarmNet 360 800+' central station connection.

  • Two-Way Voice over IP requires a panel, a WiFi board with Revision 4.97 or higher or a ILP5 and an AlarmNet 360 800+' central station connection.

Two-way communication between the control panel and the Central Station will occur either through VoIP (using wifi) or cellular (using SIM number).

Video Alarm Verification

Select to enable Central Station supported video alarm verification.

I-View Now™ is a patented, cloud-based central station interface that makes Video Alarm Verification as easy as pushing a button. Your central station is integrated with I-View Now to offer Video Alarm Verification. If you have any questions on I-View Now configuration, please contact your central station.

Advanced Protection Logic

Select to Enable additional assurance that signals are sent to the Central Station in the event that the alarm system equipment is compromised prior to sending an alarm.

  • Designed to provide additional assurance that an alarm is sent to the central station in the event that the security system is compromised prior to it sending an alarm.

  • AlarmNet 360 receives all messages upon violation of any Entry-Exit or dialer-delayed zones and awaits a successful disarm from the user.

  • If the network does not receive a disarm within a certain time, AlarmNet 360 sends an alarm to the Central Station.

Note:

By default, the Advanced Protection Logic (APL) field for Lyric panels is always enabled and cannot be disabled.

Lyric Lock

Note:

The Lyric Lock option is available only:

  • For Lyric panels.

  • If the panel is registered.

This is a new service provided to prevent account takeover situations. The lyric lock option works in the following sequence:

  1. When the dealer enables this feature on any account, the panel allows entering the programming mode only after entering the specific One Time Password (OTP).

  2. Based on the request from the end user for panel maintenance, the OTP is generated by the dealer for any account. The OTP will have a predefined validity duration of 24 hours.

Note:

The Generate OTP option in the Account Overview page is enabled only after the Lyric Lock option is selected.

  1. Share the generated OTP with the installer or can be copied to USB.

  2. At the end user premises, the Installer must use this OTP to enter the programming mode and perform configuration changes on the panel.

HomeKit

Note:

The HomeKit option is available only for Lyric panels.

Being enabled by default, this option allows you to securely control all your devices, individually or as groups.

HomeKit is Apple's framework for home automation. You can use HomeKit to integrate products such as lights, speakers, thermostats, plugs, sensors, locks, and so on, with Apple's iPhone and iPad.

Video Service

Based on the selected service level, the video clip from the camera is retained.

  • None: Select to disable the video service. Disabling the video service deletes all the video clips and you will no longer have access to the video service module.

  • 7 Days: Select to enable the video service for a maximum of 7 days. The video service deletes the video clips that are older than 7 days.

  • 30 Days: Select to enable the video service for a maximum of 30 days. The video service stores the video clips for 30 days, starting on the day of upgrade, inclusive of the last 7 days.

Total Connect 2.0

Create New Account

Select to create a new Total Connect account for the panel.

Use Existing Account

Select to use an existing Total Connect account for the panel.

TC2 Account Name

Type a name for the account.

TC2 Master User Name

Type a master user name for the account.

This is the Username your customer uses when logging in.

TC2 Master User e-Mail ID

Type a master user E-mail ID for the account.

Total Connect 2.0 Plan

Selected TC2 plan.

Panel Master Code

Type the master code of the panel. This code is available on your panel.

Location zip

Type the zip code of your location.

Pre-configure Total Connect 2.0 Account

Select this feature to enable pre-configuration of Total Connect 2.0 account prior to sending welcome e-mails to your customer.

Notes:

  • When the Pre-Configure option is enabled, welcome e-mails WILL NOT be sent to your customer until you click Commission in Manage Total Connect 2.0.

  • When the Pre-Configure option is disabled, welcome e-mails will be sent as soon as the account is created.

Does this customer have a SkyBell account?

Based on the account availability, select the relevant option and proceed.

End User Preferences

Language

From the list, select to program a user-friendly language for the application.

Time Zone

From the list, select the time zone.

Date Format

Select to set the date format.

Time Format

Select to set the time format.

Notifications

From the list of available notifications, you can click to:

  • Select/Deselect All

OR

  • Select the relevant notifications

The default notifications contain a list of Total Connect 2.0 events that can be enabled for your customer. When any of the events are enabled, the master user receives those event notifications to their e-mail address that is saved during account creation. 

Enabling these events for e-mail notification during account creation will save time for your users as they will not need to subscribe to them. Your user can unsubscribe at any time by logging on to the Total Connect 2.0 web site or the Total Connect  2.0 app with an iPad.

 

  1. Click Finish displayed on the top-right corner of the page.

  1. Check the details again and click Confirm Creation. A success message appears with the details such as Customer ID, Account # and Alarm Reporting Number.

You can click icon to edit the information.

Note:

The following scenario describes the instructions to manage your account.

For example, if you have opted for Total Connect services, then you can manage the services by performing the following:

  1. In the AlarmNet 360 home page, type the City-CS-Sub or MAC ID of the device and then click Search.
    The account number, along with the device details, appears.

  2. Under Actions, select Edit and then click the icon. The Account Overview page appears.

  3. Under the customer name, click Customer Info & Accounts.

  4. Under TOTAL CONNECT 2.0 SERVICES, click Manage.

  5. At the top right corner, you can click the following options:

    • For lynx panel

      • Security Professional Access: Connects you to the Total Connect application.

      • Suspend: Suspends the account, but does not delete the account.

      • Delete: Deletes the Total Connect account.

    • For lyric panel

      • Pre-configure: Connects you to the Total Connect application.

      • Commission: Ensures that the account is functional and then transfers the ownership of the account from the dealer to the customer.

      • Suspend: Suspends the account, but does not delete the account.

      • Delete: Deletes the Total Connect account.

  1. You can also click the following options:

    • Devices: Enables you to add the following devices:
